Song 1
This was the reverb that i added to the first verse of song 1. I decided to put it as a chamber room because i thought it would sound quite good. Overall i think this added more texture to the song and was more interesting.
After i added reverb, i added delay to the chorus of the song. I added the delay to the guitar because i know that delay is used on guitars. i didn’t want it to delay too much so that it sounded confusing but i think i got it right because you can still tell what is going on in the song.
Song 2
On song 2, i used reverb on the drums but when i added it, it sounded very distorted and it wasn’t the sound that i wanted for this song so i decided to make the wetness really low so it got rid of that distorted sound on the drum that shouldn’t be there.
on the chorus part, i used delay on the piano. It started of with lots of delay so i turned it down so that it didn’t delay as much because it would’ve sounded confusing.
Reflection
i found making the songs more enjoyable because i had an idea before i went into the song which helped me build the song up. I sent some friends the songs and they said that they were good and but preferred song 2 because it was relaxing. I think my strengths were that i know what works and what doesn’t work in a song. I would say i need to develop by learning how to use logic more and learning how to use more of the software.
